إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
It is with profound grief and deep outrage that Solutions Gilgit-Baltistan, along with the entire geological and earth sciences community, strongly condemns the barbaric terrorist attack at the National Resources Limited (NRL) mining camp, Daryagoon, Chagai, Balochistan — which claimed the lives of 10 innocent individuals, including our own Geologist Engineer Asif Nawaz.
Over 40 armed attackers stormed the camp using motorcycles and vehicles, unleashing modern weapons and rockets, killing 10 people — including 7 company personnel, 3 security personnel, and a Turkish national — and injuring 5 others.
Asif Nawaz was a proud son of Gilgit-Baltistan, a graduate of Karakoram International University, and a dedicated professional who devoted himself to serving his nation through the earth sciences. He was the son of respected community leader Majeed of Thak, and nephew of former DFO Abdul Hamid. That night, he called his family to warn them that terrorists had surrounded their camp — his last act was one of love and courage.
Geologists do not sit behind desks. They travel to the most remote and dangerous corners of the country — not for personal gain, but to map resources, build industries, and secure Pakistan's economic future. Targeting these professionals is not only an act of terrorism — it is an assault on the nation's development.
We demand justice for all the martyrs and call upon the state to ensure the protection of professionals working in the field, particularly in high-risk zones.
🕊️ May Asif Nawaz and all the martyrs of Daryagoon rest in eternal peace.

The session, attended by the Director and Assistant Directors of relevant departments, comprehensively addressed all requirements for NOC approval, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations. The presentation concluded with constructive discussions and highly positive feedback from the authorities—marking another successful step toward responsible and sustainable mining development in the region.
