Writ Petition Against Illegal Construction & Commercialization at Al-Fateh Park, People’s Colony, Gujranwala
A constitutional petition has been filed before the Honorable Lahore High Court challenging the alleged illegal construction and commercialization activities being carried out by Parks and Horticulture Authority Gujranwala at Al-Fateh Park, People’s Colony, Gujranwala.
The petition contends that public park land, reserved for recreational and environmental purposes, is being utilized for commercial activities in violation of applicable laws, planning regulations, and the fundamental rights of local residents. The petition seeks protection of public green spaces, preservation of the park's original status, and appropriate directions against any unlawful construction or commercialization. PHA's stated functions include the development and maintenance of parks and green areas for public benefit. �
