Essential Safety Guidelines for Pakistanis in Gulf Region
All Pakistani nationals are strongly advised to remain within their residences or other secure indoor locations and to avoid all non-essential movement until further notice.
Travel to or near sensitive sites—including military installations, airports, government premises, telecommunications hubs, and key energy infrastructure—should be strictly avoided, as these locations may be at heightened risk in the current security environment.
It is of utmost importance to comply fully with all directives issued by host country authorities, including curfews, movement restrictions, and civil defence protocols, as adherence to local regulations is both a legal obligation and a critical component of personal safety.
Individuals are further encouraged to rely exclusively on verified information disseminated through official channels, including the Pakistani Embassy, Consulates, and host government communications, and to refrain from acting on unverified or speculative reports circulating on social media.
In terms of legal and digital conduct, all nationals are reminded that recording, transmitting, or sharing images and videos related to military activities, missile strikes, or damage to strategic infrastructure is strictly prohibited and may constitute a serious offence under applicable cybercrime and national security laws in host countries. Such violations can result in severe penalties, including substantial fines, detention, and deportation.
Similarly, participation in protests, political gatherings, or any form of public demonstration is strictly forbidden for foreign workers in many Gulf jurisdictions and may lead to immediate legal action, including arrest and removal from the country. Maintaining strict neutrality and compliance with local laws is therefore essential to avoid unintended legal consequences.
With regard to travel and immigration matters, nationals are advised to exercise caution and avoid proceeding to airports unless they hold a confirmed booking and have received direct communication from their airline, as regional airspace remains subject to intermittent disruptions. While limited flight operations have resumed in certain corridors, the situation remains fluid and subject to change at short notice.
It is respectfully emphasised that nationals should remain vigilant, maintain regular contact with official channels, and take all necessary precautions to safeguard their personal security and legal status during this period of heightened uncertainty.
