Pakistan has taken a major step toward faster and stronger global digital connectivity with the landing of the SEA-ME-WE 6 submarine cable.
This high-capacity 19,200 km fibre network links Pakistan with countries from Singapore to France, offering over 100 terabits per second. Pakistan secured 13.2 Tbps, with 4 Tbps activated immediately to boost bandwidth for cloud services, data centres, fintech, streaming, and e-commerce.
Featuring double the capacity of previous systems, SEA-ME-WE 6 ensures lower latency, enhanced fault protection, and better redundancy for Pakistan’s internet infrastructure.
