Important Update from Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP)
The Government of Pakistan has issued a “Most Immediate / Most Urgent” directive to accelerate the processing of therapeutic goods and import consignments.
📌 Key Highlights:
✔️ Registration/enlistment letters to be issued within 5 working days after approval
✔️ Evaluation of imported medicine applications to be completed within 10 working days
✔️ API-related applications to be processed within 5–7 working days
✔️ Pending cases under Rule 26(2) of Medical Devices Rules 2017 to be resolved within 3 working days
✔️ Virtual inspections for medical device manufacturers introduced for 6 months to fast-track registrations
✔️ Pre-Import Clearance Certificate processing time reduced from 72 hours to 48 hours via PSW/OIES

📢 Important Announcement – Medical Devices Import NOC

The Import NOC for Medical Devices will go live on the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) system on 4 March 2026.

Until the system is activated, stakeholders are advised to continue following the existing procedure through DRAP’s portal for issuance of Medical Devices NOC.
