Amazon inventory — let’s say you’re fully stocked.
No out-of-stock issues.
But now you have a new problem: overstock and excess fees.

Once you’ve got 75–90 days of inventory on the shelf, your goal is to maintain it — without going too high or letting it get too old.

Amazon clearly shows how long your inventory sits and how much it’s costing you.

Now, you review it and make adjustments.

This should be a weekly check:

Compare the past 90 days of sales to your current inventory on hand.

If you’re entering a slower season, consider using 60 days of sales as your benchmark.

Also, check your year-over-year sales — you may need more inventory than your last 90 days suggest.

You'll avoid most excess inventory fees if you’re consistently tracking 90-day sales vs. on-hand units.
