Reko Diq stands as one of the world’s most significant untapped copper and gold projects, with the potential to reshape Pakistan’s mineral and export landscape.

While investment timelines are currently under review and costs may be reassessed, the project remains strategically intact with long-term production still targeted.

Beyond short-term adjustments, Reko Diq represents a transformative opportunity for large-scale value addition, foreign investment inflows, and the development of a globally competitive mining and minerals sector in Pakistan.

Global uncertainty is exposing the risks of import dependence. As supply chains tighten and fuel markets face pressure, Pakistan must think beyond short term fixes and invest in long term industrial strength.

A naphtha cracker can unlock petrochemical self reliance, reduce import pressure, create export opportunities, and strengthen economic resilience. It is more than infrastructure. It is strategy for the future.

Pakistan has the potential. Now it needs the vision.
