اسپیس ایکس کا راکٹ فالکن کا آخری اسٹیـــج چاند کے سطح سے ٹکرایا۔ سائنــس دانوں کا کہنا ہے کہ راکٹ کا یہ حصہ پچھلے ڈیڑھ سال سے چاند کے گرد گھوم رہا تھا۔۔۔۔ اس کا وزن تقریباً تقریباً چار ہزار کلوگرام تھا جس کی وجہ سے اس کی رفتار تقریباً 8700 کلو میٹر فی گھنٹہ تھی اور راکــٹ کی حرکی توانائی 11.8 بلین جولز کے قریب تھی، انجن میں فیـــــول ختم ہونے کی وجہ سے اسپیس ایکس کے کنٹرول سے باہر ہوگیا تھا۔ فالکـن کے اس حصے پر سورج زمین اور چاند تینوں برابر کشـــش ثقل لگا رہا تھا یعنی اپنی طرف کھینچ رہے تھے،، لیکن چونکہ یہ چاند کے زیادہ قریب تھا اس وجہ سے چاند کے زیر اثر میں آیا اور چاند سطح کے آئن اســــٹائن کریٹر کے قریب گر گیا۔

کل جب فالکــن 9 کا یہ حصہ چاند کی سطح سے ٹکرایا، تو اس نے چاند کی سطح پر تقریباً 130 فٹ چوڑا گڑھا بنا دیا، ٹکرانے کے بعد چاند کی سطح سے دھــــول اور ٹوٹی ہوئی چٹان خلا میں اڑ گئی۔ کمپیوٹر سمیلیـشنز سے معلوم ہوا کہ ٹکرانے کے بعد چاند کی سطح سے گرد و غبار تقریباً 15 سے 20 کلومیٹر بلند ہوا۔ سائنــس دان یہ بھی کہہ رہے ہیں کہ گرد و غبار آہستہ آہســتہ ٹکرانے والی جگہ سے لگ بھگ 183 کلومیــٹر تک باہر کی طرف جائے گی چونکہ چاند کا کوئی ماحول نہیں ہے اور کشش ثقل بھی زمین کی نسبت بہت کم ہے اس وجہ سے گرد و غــبار ہر طرف پھیلے گی۔ چاند کے گرد چکر لگانے والے ناسا کے خلائی جہاز ہمیں ابڈیٹ بھیجتے رہیں گے۔۔۔۔۔۔!!!
