This is Rangoon creeper or " sehra bael" as we have always heard it called.... but this one is imported. Notice the flower bunches are larger, the flowers are smaller but much more prettier and the foliage is also dense.... not many twigs are visible; the resulting look is neat and beautiful! It also needs full sun and fertile, well drained soil, but like it's local cousin, can withstand some harsh weather too!

Homemade water feature from a stone basin, stone tiles and natural rock.... it provides a soothing noise plus keeping the environment cool...... All the plants around it are in pots, as they don't grow well in this spot.

Spot the Cheekus( Sapota) growing on the two trees! These trees are planted in a small space...receive sunlight for only a few hours in the day... yet they bear fruit!!!!
Cheeku is very easily grown in Karachi. You can even grow it in a large planter and it will start giving fruit once mature.
It just needs regular watering, a top dressing of manure once a year and some sunlight...... you can have your very own organic fruit to enjoy! Pluck the fruit while still a little lime green. Keep wrapped in paper, or even in shade inside the house for a few days and it will ripen. If left for too long on the tree, it will be eaten up by the birds.

How to use a small space to it's best advantage..... just count the number of plants plus the water feature and hanging plants in this small area! And so many colours too! Just wanted to show that it's totally possible!!!
The plant in the water is called Colocasia. It has beautiful deep maroon leaves that shimmer in sunlight. The more sunny the spot is the brighter they are! But they well in less sun too....
