Interloop Limited | ILP – Result Preview 1QFY25

ILP is expected to declare a profit after tax of PKR 2,604mn (EPS: PKR 1.86), with a slight increase of 0.33% QoQ, driven by sales growth of 6% QoQ, reaching PKR 44,021mn.

Gross margins are projected at 23.1%, with an improvement of 0.63ppt QoQ, aided by lower cotton prices and stronger export conditions, average cotton price down 2.45% QoQ, though higher fixed costs in the new apparels plant may limit margin growth.

A decline in the discount rate from 20.50% to 18.5% QoQ reduced financial charges, supporting profitability despite exchange losses.

The PKR depreciation led to an exchange loss compared to a gain in the previous year, which could impact financial performance, though dollarized revenue offers some stability. The PKR depreciated by 4% to PKR 278.14.

The shift to a 39% effective tax rate increases cost pressures, but potential deferred tax benefits from new Capex could partially offset this impact.
