Why earth pin in a plug is longer and thicker than the other pins?
★Why is longer:
To connect it prior than live and neutral
i.e. before current flowing and vice versa when removing thus we get full protection of electrical shock.
★Why is thicker:
1- To avoid wrong connection.
2- To grantee less resistance path to the earth rod for the purpose of protection.
