Stop asking clients "what's your budget?"
I watched it shrink a deal right in front of me.
Client was excited — ready to scale on Amazon and Shopify.
Then: "So what's your budget?"
He leaned back. Gave a low number.
And the whole plan shrank to fit it.
"Let's skip TikTok Shop for now..."
"We'll keep the ad setup simple..."
Everything got smaller. Weaker. Fewer results.
He still wasn't excited — because deep down he knew this wasn't the real plan, just the version that fit the number.
So we changed one thing.
Now we say: "Based on what you want to achieve, here's what we recommend."
Then we stop talking.
Some say no. But the ones who say yes buy into results — not a number.
Clients don't tell you your value. They test whether you believe it.
