Did You Know?
The main weapon of the Neanderthals was the wooden spear!
✅ Archaeologists discovered the famous Schöningen Spears in Germany, almost 300,000 years old.
✅ These spears were about 6–8 feet long, fire-hardened for strength.
✅ Neanderthals didn’t throw them—they used them for close-range thrusting hunts.
✅ Hunting strategy: work in groups, ambush big animals like bison or mammoths, then move in for the kill.
✅ Later, they even attached stone tips with resin and sinew, making them more deadly.
⚔️ The thrusting spear wasn’t just a weapon—it was a symbol of Neanderthal strength, courage, and survival.
