Punjab Mineral Company (PMC) is pleased to welcome Dr. Anwar Hussain Alizai as the new General Manager (Technical & Operations).
Dr. Anwar brings over 30 years of professional experience in geology, mineral exploration, hydrogeology, resource assessment, and technical project management. He served with the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP) from 1996 to 2026, holding various technical and leadership positions.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has contributed to and led major projects involving mineral exploration, geological mapping, resource estimation, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations, with extensive experience in coal, copper, lithium, and other strategic minerals.
In his most recent role as Regional Head/Deputy Director General, he supervised geological activities and exploration programmes across Sindh and southern Balochistan.
PMC looks forward to benefiting from Dr. Anwar Hussain Alizai’s extensive technical expertise and professional experience as the Company continues to advance responsible mineral exploration and development in Punjab.

The Punjab Mineral Company (PMC) expresses its profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ahmed, distinguished geoscientist, former Director General, Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP), and former Professor and Chairman, Department of Geology, University of Peshawar.

Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ahmed was a highly respected geoscientist, researcher, academic and administrator who rendered distinguished services to geological sciences, mineral exploration and the development of Pakistan’s mineral resources.

PMC had the honour of benefiting from his vast knowledge, experience and professional insight during his association with the Company as Director and Chairman of the Board Technical Committee. His guidance, technical expertise and commitment to scientific and evidence-based decision-making made a valuable contribution to PMC’s efforts in mineral exploration, resource development and advancement of its technical initiatives.

The management and employees of PMC extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, students and the entire geological and academic community. His services to geoscience and national development will be remembered with great respect.

Training/Orientation for Implementation of e-FOAS at Punjab Mineral Company

Punjab Mineral Company (PMC) organized a Training/Orientation Session for the implementation of e-FOAS (Electronic File and Office Automation System) at PMC.

The session was aimed at familiarizing PMC officials with the e-FOAS system and its features to facilitate a smooth transition towards digital file management and automated office processes.

The implementation of e-FOAS marks an important step towards paperless governance, improved efficiency, transparency, and effective digital record management at PMC.
