Punjab Mineral Company (PMC) had the honor of welcoming the Secretary, Mines & Minerals Department, Government of Punjab, and Chairman of the Board of Directors PMC during their visit to PMC’s newly established office at 29-B, New Muslim Town, Wahdat Road, Lahore.

During the visit, the Secretary and Chairman reviewed the newly developed office facilities and visited PMC’s Geo Data Center, where they were briefed on ongoing initiatives related to geological data management, digital transformation, and mineral resource information systems.

The dignitaries also interacted with PMC’s newly hired professionals, including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Deputy General Manager Technical (DGMT), and discussed the company’s strategic objectives, ongoing exploration projects, and future growth plans for the mineral sector of Punjab.

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Syed Arshad Abbas as Deputy General Manager (Technical & Operations).

Mr. Abbas is an accomplished geologist with over 28 years of extensive experience in mineral exploration, resource evaluation, and project development. He has played key roles in major mining projects, including the Reko Diq and Chiniot Iron Ore Project, contributing significantly to the advancement of Pakistan’s mineral sector.

His expertise in exploration management, technical leadership, and operational excellence, combined with his experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with international consultants, will be a valuable asset to Punjab Mineral Company.

We are confident that his knowledge, leadership, and strategic vision will contribute significantly to PMC’s mission of developing Pakistan’s mineral resources responsibly and sustainably.
