Some songs belong to a certain time in your life. You listen to them once, and somehow, years later, they still know exactly where to find you.
“O Bedardeya” was one of those songs for me.
Back when I first heard it, it hit differently. The lyrics, Arijit’s voice, that feeling of loving someone while knowing you might never be able to hold on to them—it all felt painfully real. It was the kind of song you didn’t just listen to; you felt it.
And the strange thing is… it still does the same.
Years have passed, life has changed, people have changed, and I’ve changed too. But whenever this song plays, there’s still that familiar heaviness in the chest. Like opening an old chapter and realizing some emotions never really learned how to leave.
I recorded this cover a long time ago, but listening to it today reminded me why I picked up the mic in the first place. Sometimes we sing songs because we love them. Sometimes we sing them because, somewhere inside, they are saying everything we couldn't.
This one has always been a little bit of both. 🖤🎙️
Some songs age.
Some songs become memories.
And some songs just keep finding the same wound, no matter how much time passes.
O Bedardeya… you still hit the same.
