Bushra Waheed An avid reader and who loves exploring the endless world of and artificial intelligence I write articles and publish them on the Internet.

I am a data scientist with a passion for storytelling. I believe that words and data are the two most powerful tools to change the world. Most of my time is spent staring at a computer screen. During the day, I am usually programming, working to derive insight from large datasets. My skills include data analysis, visualization, and machine learning. I have developed a strong acumen for problem sol

ving, and I enjoy an occasional challenge. I often work on end-to-end data science projects that usually begin from collecting data from third party sources and end with delivering business insight in the form of customer segments. At night, I take some time off to work on things I'm passionate about. Sometimes, I create personal projects and write tutorials on them. To give back to the community, I create tutorials detailing things I have learnt. I create starter code for data science and visualization projects and publish it for everyone to read. If you are a data science aspirant, please feel free to check out these tutorials on my blog site.

One thing I truly believe is that skills grow faster through project-based learning and practical implementation. That’s why I decided to complete the DataCamp AI Engineer for Data Scientists Associate certification while working on a real hands-on AI project alongside it. 🚀

During this project, I worked on data cleaning, feature engineering, preprocessing, and training a PyTorch model for customer purchase prediction. From handling raw datasets and missing values to building a structured machine learning workflow, the experience helped me sharpen my practical understanding of AI and Data Science even further.

I always enjoy working on real-world AI solutions because every project teaches something new and improves the way we approach problem-solving in technology.

Happy to share that I’ve successfully completed the certification. 🎓

Currently available for:
✔ AI & Machine Learning Projects
✔ Python Automation
✔ Data Science Solutions
✔ Deep Learning & Predictive Analytics

In all the noise of how fast life is moving, I’ve been learning something quietly….

Everything is changing so fast.
Trends, careers, skills, opportunities — nothing stays the same for long. And in the middle of all this, it’s so easy to feel like you’re falling behind if you’re not constantly catching up.

I’ve felt that pressure too.

But I’m starting to understand that in a world that moves this quickly, the most important thing isn’t speed… it’s awareness.

- It’s learning how to grow at your own pace without losing yourself.
- It’s knowing when to move and when to pause.
- It’s understanding that not every fast path is the right path for you.

We often see people achieving things quickly and assume we should be there too. But what we don’t see is their timing, their journey, their process — and how different it is from ours.

And that’s where I’ve realized something important:

Life is not a race.
And success doesn’t follow one timeline.

Some people bloom early.
Some grow quietly behind the scenes.
And some take longer… but build something more meaningful, more stable, and more aligned with who they truly are.

In this fast-moving world, I think it’s even more important to slow down sometimes and reflect — to actually see how far you’ve come instead of only focusing on how far you still have to go.

Because growth isn’t always loud.
Progress isn’t always visible.
But that doesn’t make it any less real.

I’m learning to appreciate the small wins, the silent growth, and even the moments that didn’t go as planned — because they’re shaping me in ways I didn’t understand at the time.

So if you ever feel like you’re behind… maybe you’re not.
Maybe you’re just building something that takes time.

And maybe that’s exactly how it’s meant to be.

Just sharing my thoughts… 🤍

What’s one thing you’ve learned about your own journey lately? ✨

Alhamdulillah, I highly recommend Data Science Math Skills by Duke University (Coursera), especially for anyone who feels their math background is weak.

This course gave me real clarity—concepts that once felt overwhelming are now much easier to understand. It breaks down the math behind data science in a simple, structured way and removes unnecessary fear.

If you’re starting data science, AI, or analytics and struggling with math confidence, this is a great place to begin. Slow progress matters when you’re building strong foundations.

Math feels less scary to me now… honestly 😄

𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐭:

In data analysis, outliers are often seen as “problems” to remove—but they can actually be hidden treasures if you know how to handle them.

𝐓𝐢𝐩: 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐳𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥:

* Errors or inconsistencies in data entry
* Anomalies that indicate rare but important events
* Opportunities for new insights or strategies

By understanding outliers, you not only clean your dataset wisely, but also improve your model’s accuracy and reliability. Outliers tell a story—listen carefully before discarding them.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫: Data is more than numbers—it’s context, patterns, and meaning. Embrace the quirks, and your models will thank you.

Before running any model, always understand your data first.

I’ve seen it too many times—people rush into building fancy models, thinking more complexity equals better results.

The truth? No model can save bad data.

Take the time to explore your dataset:
✔ Check for missing values
✔ Identify outliers
✔ Understand distributions
✔ Ask meaningful questions

Because at the end of the day:
“Garbage data = garbage results.”

Your model’s success starts long before training begins—with your curiosity, patience, and understanding of the data.

Remember: Great insights come from clean, well-understood data, not shortcuts.

Freelancing isn’t instant success. It’s patience, practice, and positioning.

I’m currently rebuilding my freelance business as a data analyst—and it’s been a journey of learning, reflecting, and growing.

Behind every so-called “overnight success” are months—sometimes years—of quiet, unseen work.
Learning. Practicing. Improving. Showing up even when results are slow.

Freelancing tests your patience before it rewards your skills.
It demands consistency before confidence.
And clear positioning before real opportunity.

If your progress feels slow, remember this:
Slow progress is still progress.
“Consistency turns slow progress into lasting success.”

Keep building. Keep learning. Keep moving forward—one step at a time.

𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏, 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 “𝑳”

I took a break from freelancing—not because I failed, but because I needed to pause, reflect, and realign. The industry changed, tools evolved, and I knew that to come back stronger as a freelance data analyst, I had to rebuild the right way.

* I restarted my freelance journey as a data analyst by going back to the basics.
* Strengthened my fundamentals.
* Faced my weakness—mathematics, which once held me back.
* Updated my skills.
* Practiced consistently.
* Worked on my confidence and clarity.

This time, I am not rushing to earn. I am focusing on becoming better first. Because freelancing is not about quick wins; it is about long-term credibility and value.

If a client hires you once, you've delivered value. If they come back, you've built a partnership. If they refer others, you've earned a reputation.

In freelancing, anyone can offer services, but building trust turns one-time clients into long-term collaborators. Focus on delivering insights, solving problems, and driving results, because your work can be replicated, but your reliability and expertise are irreplaceable.
