Breaking News

Not AI, but a simple human mistake exposed 500,000 lines of secret code! Big setback for one of the top AI companies!

Not all coding problems are AI-generated. On Tuesday, Anthropic revealed that due to a “human error,” a major data leak occurred, exposing around 500,000 lines of source code of its popular AI coding assistant, Claude Code.

The company clarified that no sensitive customer data or AI models were affected. However, some important details about their user interface development methods have come out in public.

By Wednesday, Anthropic had already removed around 8,000 copies of the leaked code from GitHub through copyright takedown requests.

This incident is being seen as a major setback for Anthropic. Claude Code, which had generated nearly $2.5 billion in revenue by February, played a key role in giving the company an edge over its competitors and boosting its growth.

What makes it more concerning is that this is already the second data mishap for Anthropic within a single week.
