BREAKTHROUGHS IN THE FIELD!
On-Ground Progress Under DDPG

Asset Performance Management System (APMS) | From Data to Decarbonization

Installation and commissioning activities of the APMS are underway at Nishtarabad Sub-Division under the Digitisation and Decarbonisation of Power Grids (DDPG) Project.

CISNR technical teams are actively carrying out:
· Field deployment
· Equipment configuration
· Calibration

The goal is clear: boost network visibility, strengthen operational oversight, and enable data driven decision making, faster, smarter, and more efficient power management.

Massive Performance Impact Already Achieved
This APMS deployment is part of DDPG’s wider digitalisation push across Nishtarabad Sub-Division, where technology driven interventions are already delivering results that matter.

Estimated outcomes include:
· ~1.28 million kWh energy savings
· ~695 tons of CO₂ emissions avoided
· Major reductions in distribution losses and AT&C losses

Collaborative Effort Fueling Pakistan’s Energy Transition
Implemented by CISNR in partnership with PESCO, and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with support from GIZ Pakistan, the DDPG Project is proving that digital solutions can strengthen utility performance while supporting Pakistan’s decarbonization goals.

CISNR continues to deliver, outcomes on the ground, change in the grid!

CISNR, UET Peshawar successfully trained 65 women engineers in Energy Management Systems (EnMS) and placed them across six municipal organizations under the project, “Promotion of Sustainable Energy in Municipalities of Pakistan,” supported by GIZ Pakistan and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The initiative provided hands-on training in energy management and sustainable practices.

Through field exposure, mentorship, and skill-development sessions, the program equipped participants with the practical knowledge and professional experience needed to begin their careers in Pakistan’s energy sector.

Watch the highlights and hear the stories shaping a more energy-efficient future. 🌱✨

Another step forward toward digital and sustainable power systems in Saidpur Feeder Lahore!

In close collaboration with Lahore Electric Supply Company, installations are advancing to support the digitalization and decarbonization of power distribution networks.

Supported by the GIZ Pakistan (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and funded by BMZ (The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development - Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung, BMZ), this initiative is contributing to smarter, more sustainable grid operations.

So far, the intervention is benefiting 2,084 consumers, marking steady progress toward improved grid visibility, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

These efforts are enabling:
• Real-time monitoring and enhanced grid visibility
• Reduction in technical losses and energy waste
• Optimized load management and network efficiency
• Lower environmental impact through efficient energy use

A meaningful step toward building a resilient, efficient, and environmentally responsible power system.

Proud to share the success story of Malaika Ghouri, a participant of the Training Program for Women Engineers on Energy Management under the project “Promotion of Sustainable Energy in Municipalities of Pakistan.” supported by GIZ Pakistan and funded by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ),
After successfully completing the program, Malaika secured a position as a Community Associate at Creative Engineering & Management Services (CEMS) a testament to how the right skills and opportunities can transform careers.

Real stories. Real change.
