Story of the White & Pink Cotton Flower
At dawn, a cotton plant opens a fresh flower dressed in creamy white. The white bloom is young, delicate, and ready to welcome pollinators. For a single day, it shines brightly among the green leaves, gathering sunlight and attracting insects.
As the day passes, the flower's work begins. After pollination, a remarkable transformation occurs. The once-white petals slowly blush into shades of pink. By the second day, the flower wears a deeper pink color, signaling that its role in pollination is largely complete.
Soon, the pink petals wilt and fall away, but this is not the end of the story. Hidden beneath the flower, the green o***y starts to swell and develop into a cotton boll. Over the following weeks, the boll grows, matures, and eventually bursts open to reveal the soft white cotton fibers that people harvest and turn into fabric.
