πŸš€ The 12 Principles of Agile in

1️⃣ Satisfy the Customer πŸ†
Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.

2️⃣ Welcome Change πŸ”„
Even late in development β€” embrace change for the customer’s competitive advantage.

3️⃣ Deliver Frequently πŸ“¦
Deliver working software frequently, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months β€” shorter timescales are preferred.

4️⃣ Work Together 🀝
Business people and developers must work together daily β€” ideally in small teams (e.g., ≀12 members).

5️⃣ Build Projects Around Trust πŸ™Œ
Give teams the environment and support they need β€” and trust them to get the job done.

6️⃣ Face-to-Face Communication πŸ’¬
The most effective way to convey information is face-to-face conversation (even virtually, with cameras on!).

7️⃣ Working Software πŸ’»
Working software is the primary measure of progress, not documentation.

8️⃣ Sustainable Development βš–οΈ
Promote sustainable pace for developers, sponsors, and users β€” no burnout.

9️⃣ Continuous Attention to Excellence πŸ”§
Focus on technical excellence and good design to enhance agility.

πŸ”Ÿ Simplicity is Essential βœ‚οΈ
Maximize the amount of work not done β€” this is essential.

1️⃣1️⃣ Self-Organizing Teams πŸ”
The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams.

1️⃣2️⃣ Reflect and Adjust πŸ”
At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then adjusts behavior accordingly.

Types of variance in

πŸ’° 1. Under Budget

Meaning: The project has spent less money than planned for the work completed.

Indicator:

CV > 0 (Positive Cost Variance)

CPI > 1 (Good cost performance)

Example:
You planned to spend $10,000, but actual spending is $8,500.
β†’ You are under budget by $1,500.

Implication: Cost efficiency β€” project is saving money.

⏸️ 2. On Budget

Meaning: The project has spent exactly as planned for the work completed.

Indicator:

CV = 0

CPI = 1

Example:
Planned cost and actual cost both are $10,000.
β†’ You are on budget.

Implication: Cost is being managed perfectly according to plan.

πŸ’Έ 3. Over Budget

Meaning: The project has spent more money than planned for the work completed.

Indicator:

CV < 0 (Negative Cost Variance)

CPI < 1 (Poor cost performance)

Example:
You planned to spend $10,000, but actual spending is $12,000.
β†’ You are over budget by $2,000.

Implication: Overspending β€” corrective action may be required.

πŸŒ€ Scrum Framework – Simplified
Scrum is one of the most widely used Agile frameworks, originally developed for software projects, but now used across many industries.

It is based on fixed-length iterations called Sprints, usually lasting 2 to 4 weeks.
At the end of each Sprint, the team reviews progress and plans the next steps in a Sprint Review and Retrospective.

πŸ” What Makes Scrum Unique?
Scrum focuses on visibility, transparency, and adaptability.
It breaks down complex work into manageable chunks that the team can plan, execute, and reflect on quickly.

πŸ‘₯ Scrum Team Roles
Scrum defines three key roles that form the Scrum Team:

1️⃣ Product Owner
πŸ—£οΈ The voice of the customer.

Defines the vision of the product and manages the Product Backlog.

Prioritizes features based on business value.

Think of them as a business analyst or customer representative.

2️⃣ Development Team
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» A cross-functional group that builds the product.

Self-organizing β€” they decide how the work is done.

Responsible for delivering a working product increment at the end of each Sprint.

3️⃣ Scrum Master
🧭 A facilitator, not a boss.

Ensures the team follows Scrum principles and practices.

Removes obstacles, coaches the team, and promotes Agile values.

Unlike a traditional project manager, the Scrum Master doesn’t manage tasks or team members.

πŸ” Scrum in Action:
Sprint Planning – Decide what to do

Daily Scrum (Standup) – Coordinate work

Sprint Review – Demo the product

Sprint Retrospective – Improve the process

πŸ“Œ Summary:
Scrum empowers teams to deliver high-quality products quickly by encouraging collaboration, continuous feedback, and incremental improvement.

🧭 Why Do We Start a Project? β€” Project Needs
Projects are initiated for a variety of important reasons. Understanding the need or justification is key to proper project alignment and stakeholder support.

βœ… 1. Customer Requirement πŸ‘₯
A client or customer specifically requests a product, service, or result.
🧾 Example: A company hires a developer to build a custom app.

βœ… 2. Legal Requirement βš–οΈ
To comply with new laws, regulations, or standards.
πŸ“œ Example: A factory upgrades safety systems to meet new government safety laws.

βœ… 3. Market Demand πŸ“ˆ
To meet growing or changing demands in the market.
πŸ’Ό Example: Launching an electric car due to rising demand for green technology.

βœ… 4. Organizational Need 🏒
Internal goals or strategic objectives of the organization.
🎯 Example: A company launches a digital transformation project to improve efficiency.

πŸ“Œ Types of Requirements in

1️⃣ Business Requirements
🏒 Represent higher-level needs of the organization.
βœ”οΈ Define business issues, opportunities, or reasons why a project has been initiated.

2️⃣ Stakeholder Requirements
πŸ‘₯ Capture needs of stakeholders or stakeholder groups.
πŸ“ Example: reporting requirements, approvals, or communication needs.

3️⃣ Transition & Readiness Requirements
πŸ”„ Temporary capabilities needed to move from the current as-is state to the desired future state.
πŸ“‚ Example: data conversion, user training, and system migration needs.

4️⃣ Quality Requirements
βœ… Define conditions or criteria that validate successful completion of a deliverable.
πŸ”¬ Example: tests, certifications, validations, or compliance standards.

5️⃣ Project Requirements
πŸ“… Actions, processes, or constraints that the project must meet.
πŸ“‘ Example: milestone dates, contractual obligations, legal requirements, or budget limits.

πŸ‘₯ Six Leadership Styles in Project Management
Project Managers often lead like a parentβ€”nurturing, guiding, and supporting their teams. While PMI (Project Management Institute) emphasizes Servant Leadership, it's helpful to understand all six leadership styles:

1. πŸ‘ Laissez-Faire – Hands-Off Leadership
Leader provides little to no direction or supervision

Teams have maximum freedom to make decisions

Leaders seem absent during project decision-making

Best for highly skilled, self-motivated teams

2. πŸ“Š Transactional – Rewards & Punishments
Focus on managerial control and performance

Clear roles, responsibilities, and rules

Rewards for success 🎁 | Punishments for failure ❌

Works well in structured, routine tasks

3. 🧺 Servant Leader – Carry Food and Water
Team-first approach 🀝

Provides support and growth opportunities 🌱

Inspires trust, commitment, and collaboration

Focuses on developing individuals and building stronger organizations
βœ… PMI’s preferred leadership style

4. 🌟 Transformational – Inspire & Innovate
Identifies need for change and growth

Builds a vision and motivates the team to pursue it

Encourages creativity, empowerment, and innovation πŸ’‘

Drives commitment and transformation

5. ✨ Charismatic – Lead by Example
Inspires through personal energy and confidence

High enthusiasm and strong convictions

Builds strong emotional connection with the team ❀️

Motivates team through vision and personal example

6. πŸ”„ Interactional – Blended Approach
Combines elements of transactional, transformational, and charismatic styles

Coaches the team and keeps them action-oriented πŸƒ

Holds the team accountable for results πŸ“ˆ

Promotes engagement, excitement, and balance

πŸ“‹ Stakeholder Register
The Stakeholder Register is a document where all identified stakeholders of a project are recorded. It helps the project team understand who the stakeholders are, what they expect, and how they influence the project.

This document can be formal or informal, and brief or comprehensive, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

✨ Key Components of a Stakeholder Register:
πŸ‘€ Name
The full name of the stakeholder.

πŸ’Ό Position
The job title or organizational role of the stakeholder.

🎯 Role
The specific responsibility or involvement of the stakeholder in the project (e.g., sponsor, team member, customer).

πŸ“ž Contact Information
Ways to communicate with the stakeholder, such as phone number, email, or office address.

πŸ“Œ Requirement
What the stakeholder wants or needs from the project outcomes.

🌟 Expectations
What the stakeholder expects in terms of communication, quality, timelines, or involvement.

πŸ“Š Influence
The level of authority or impact the stakeholder has on project decisions (e.g., high, medium, low).

πŸ—‚οΈ Classification
How the stakeholder is categorized for management purposes. This may include internal/external, supportive/resistant, or other classifications based on interest and power.

βœ… Why the Stakeholder Register Matters:
πŸ“’ Helps manage and engage stakeholders effectively

βœ‰οΈ Supports communication planning

πŸ”’ Reduces the risk of misunderstandings or conflicts

βœ… Ensures all key players are identified and their needs are tracked
