A contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional kilim.

This wall art challenges convention through its non-rectangular form and sculptural presence.

PL. Współczesna reinterpretacja tradycyjnego kilimu💫Ta sztuka ścienna przełamuje konwencję poprzez swoją nieregularną formę i rzeźbiarską obecność.

Tkana ręcznie z poszanowaniem tradycyjnych technik, tkanina przestaje być jedynie płaską powierzchnią — staje się dynamiczną kompozycją, która wchodzi w dialog z przestrzenią i światłem.

Oprawiona w ramę z litego dębu z subtelnymi mosiężnymi wstawkami, łączy organiczną fakturę z architektoniczną precyzją.

Ciepło drewna i delikatny połysk metalu tworzą napięcie między rzemiosłem a współczesnym designem, oferując odważne, a zarazem eleganckie, nowe spojrzenie na kilim jako obiekt sztuki, a nie wyłącznie tkaninę użytkową.

These oak wood frames, which were originally intended to serve as frames for kilim textiles, are now reused and redesigned as mirror frames, as the kilim textiles are no longer available. The ones that already appeared, are the only ones excisting, each only in one piece.

To me, this feels like a new door opening for my future projects.☺️

And still, these mirrors perfectly complete the entire collectible collection!🙌🏼

Treated as waste, despite their value.

With a vivid imagination, I transformed them.

PL. Możesz w to nie uwierzyć, ale te materiały kiedyś były porzuconymi kawałkami. A ja nie mogłam uwierzyć własnym oczom.

Potraktowano je jak odpad, mimo że były cenne.

Materiały, które kiedyś były oczywiste, dziś stają się luksusem. Marmur, lite drewno dębowe i mosiądz – surowce szlachetne, coraz trudniej dostępne, wymagające czasu, precyzji i szacunku.

Ten stolik kawowy jest odpowiedzią na świat nadprodukcji. Powstał z materiałów, które starzeją się z godnością i z każdym rokiem zyskują charakter. To nie przedmiot na chwilę, lecz forma zaprojektowana na długie lata.

W czasach kurczących się zasobów prawdziwą wartością staje się trwałość, autentyczność i świadomy wybór.

Punktem wyjścia do stworzenia tego obiektu było dla mnie nowe spojrzenie na tradycyjny kilim – odejście od jego klasycznej, prostokątnej formy na rzecz bardziej organicznego kształtu, który redefiniuje znany motyw.

Ręcznie tkany kilim został wpisany w zaokrągloną ramę z litego drewna dębowego, tworząc spójną, rzeźbiarską całość. Delikatne detale z mosiądzu wprowadzają subtelny połysk luksusu i równoważą naturalną strukturę drewna oraz wełnianych włóczek.

Obiekt funkcjonuje na styku tkaniny, formy i rzemiosła – jako wyjątkowy element kolekcjonerski, który wnosi do przestrzeni wyrafinowaną obecność.

Całość wykonana z materiałów z odzysku.
Występuje tylko w pojedyńczym egzemplarzu.

DONE WITH HUMAN HANDS & PASSION✨

The reclaimed wool yarns, once left behind in carpet factories, became the foundation for a design of my tabletops I envisioned and brought to life through traditional looms.

Crafted with dedication & experienced hands, the weaving process followed time-honored methods that echo the spirit of past artisans.

Although the project demanded plenty of effort, it ultimately transformed my idea into something real.

The result is a series of one-of-a-kind coffee-table tops where kilim textile meets solid oak, highlighted with subtle brass details and sealed beneath glass — functional pieces that double as my sculptural artworks.

TRANSFORMATION🙌🏼

These mirrors came to life because I rescued another set of wooden frames that were originally made for my woven kilims.

Since no more kilims from that series will ever be created — the existing ones are the only unique pieces — I decided to give the frames a new purpose.

I transformed them into mirrors, each one crafted in only a handful of pieces. Limited, unique, and born from what was once meant for something entirely different. ✨

PL.Te lustra powstały dzięki temu, że uratowałam kolejną partię drewnianych ramek, które pierwotnie były wykonane pod moje tkane kilimy.

Ponieważ kilimy z tej serii nie będą już więcej tworzone — istniejące sztuki są jedynymi unikatami — postanowiłam nadać ramkom nowe życie.

Przekształciłam je w lustra, z których każde dostępne jest tylko w kilku egzemplarzach!

Limitowane, wyjątkowe i powstałe z czegoś, co miało stać się czymś przecież zupełnie innym🙌🏼
