SAP S/4HANA: The Biggest Challenge Wasn't Technology

In his latest article, Maciej Gieracha, our Delivery Partner, shares his first-hand perspective on one of the largest SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in the European chemical industry.

For nearly three years, I had the opportunity to participate in one of the largest SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in the European chemical industry. Looking back, I'm convinced that the biggest challenges were not related to the system or technology itself. They were about people, processes, and decision-making.

Technology can be designed and implemented. What's much harder is aligning a large organization around common decisions, managing change effectively, and maintaining engagement throughout a multi-year transformation. 💡

This experience also reinforced how critical testing is. It's not just about validating the solution. Well-executed integration and end-to-end testing is one of the most effective ways to prepare an organization for new ways of working. ✅

After this transformation, I believe more strongly than ever that SAP S/4HANA is primarily an organizational transformation, and only then a system transformation. In the end, it is people who make the difference and deliver the most complex projects successfully. 👥

We couldn't have imagined a better way to conclude our anniversary integration ✨

AI in SAP: Intelligent Product Classification and Better Data Quality

How can organizations automate master data management in SAP?
