April 27 is the day when the newest amendment to the Act on Foreigners comes into force, and with it, some new changes everyone should be aware of:
1. All graduates from Polish university willing to start a business can apply a special 9-months temporary residence permit based on “other circumstances”.
2. If you’ve come to Poland with a tourist visa or a visa issued to visit family or friends, you won’t be allowed to submit a residence permit application.
3. Two new types of temporary residence permit have been introduced: for interns and for volunteers participating in the European Voluntary Service program.
