IAT21 represented the CROP Consortium at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget 18-22 June 2013. Meinhard Schwaiger and David Wills attended throughout. The IAT21/CROP stand at the Airshow was in a prominent position and received good attention by Media and the all people in general. On Wednesday 20 June Eric Lecomte, EUROSTARS Project Officer, visited the stand and discussed the current status of the project and examined the D-DALUS L1 concept demonstrator on display. The Paris Air Show occurs every 2 years and provided the CROP Consortium with a valuable opportunity to expose the project to peers in the industry and to stimulate the debate on enhancing the efficiency of cyclo-gyro rotors through plasma systems. It was evident at the Show that several companies are actively engaged in attempting to develop a vertical launch craft that can exceed 350kph in forward speed. And many stated that CROP could provide part of the solution.
