CAMPANHÃ IS CHANGING — AND SMART INVESTORS ARE WATCHING. 👀
Matadouro — Porto’s new Cultural Centre — is set to open progressively throughout 2027.
The transformation of the former Campanhã slaughterhouse is well underway, with the main construction expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Throughout 2027, the Matadouro — Centro Cultural do Porto will progressively open to the public as the different spaces are completed and prepared.
And this is much more than another cultural project.
With capacity for more than 2,300 people, the new landmark will bring galleries, public facilities, offices, restaurants, cafés and a dedicated wellness area to the eastern part of Porto.
The project combines the vision of renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma & Associates with Portuguese architecture studio OODA, creating a new destination for culture, business, leisure and social life in Campanhã.
