Born in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, Ruth grew up as the eldest of three daughters in a family of educators. A nurse by profession and a UK-trained makeup artist, she moved to Qatar in 2011 as a dental nurse, seeking new opportunities and a chance to rebuild her life.

Her entrepreneurial journey was shaped by a difficult financial setback that became a turning point. After losing her savings to a financial scam, Ruth recognized the importance of financial knowledge and began rebuilding with a stronger sense of purpose. In 2018, she was introduced to International Marketing Group, where she became a CEO and Marketing Director and an advocate for financial literacy, supporting its mission to help 30 million Filipinos become financially literate by 2030.

Today, Ruth’s entrepreneurial portfolio includes her role as co-owner of Deqada Restaurant, a Filipino dining concept created with family and friends, and co-owner of Maison de Beauté Salon with her daughter Rita and family. She also founded the Artè Budget Wallet Envelope System, a practical approach to disciplined money management.

Beyond business, Ruth focuses on empowering OFWs, women, and families to move from spending toward saving, investing, and planning for the future. She also creates opportunities for fellow Filipinos through her businesses and remains actively connected to the Filipino community in Qatar.

For Ruth, entrepreneurship is more than income or ownership. It is about impact, sustainability, legacy, and creating opportunities for others. Her philosophy, “You are your own rescue,” reflects the perspective that has guided her journey from adversity to purpose.
