๐ข Urgent Hiring: Construction Engineer
๐ Location: Doha, Qatar
๐ง About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Engineer with a minimum of 07 years' expertise in oil and gas onshore/offshore construction engineering. As a Construction Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering assignments of broad scope and complexity, ensuring the efficient planning, development, and ex*****on of projects for construction operations. This role will be primarily based in the Technip Energies Doha office, providing essential home office construction support to the engineering team.
๐ Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive constructability reviews and studies of designs and construction processes throughout the engineering and pre-construction phases.
Offer guidance and support in the selection process of construction contractors.
Uphold compliance with safety analysis plans to ensure environmentally sound practices and safe work methods.
Collaborate with the engineering team to identify, define, and execute project phases, making necessary improvements based on field issues.
Document lessons learned and develop process improvement plans to enhance project efficiency.
Participate in safety, environmental compliance, scheduling, and planning meetings, ensuring clear understanding and agreement on proposed construction methods.
Lead safety observations and conversations to foster a zero-incident culture.
Oversee quality control (QA/QC) processes and approve installation contractorsโ procedures.
Provide onshore/offshore ex*****on planning readiness and ensure compliance with industry construction standards.
Lead the resolution of technical challenges related to the scopes of work.
๐ Requirements:
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of construction activities associated with the commissioning and decommissioning of onshore/offshore oil and gas facilities, including preparation of scopes of work.
Proven track record in planning and delivering onshore/offshore construction ex*****on in a brownfield environment.
Experience participating in project reviews such as constructability reviews, layout reviews, SIMOP reviews, and HAZIDs during detailed design and engineering.
Proficient in reviewing construction deliverables, including scopes of work, construction work packs, and method statements.
Skilled in reviewing construction engineering and offshore ex*****on manhours estimates.
Experience providing guidance to contractors in system completion activities, certification of construction activities, and work pack closeouts.
๐ Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelorโs Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 07 years' experience in oil and gas projects.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in oil and gas project delivery as a work pack developer/construction engineer.
Minimum of 5 years' offshore experience in installation and construction works.
Proficiency in project management, construction engineering and management, transportation and installation, and logistics management.
Strong influencing, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
Excellent writing and computing skills, with fluent English language proficiency.
Demonstrated knowledge of cost control, cost reporting, and project schedule management.
Thorough understanding of construction specifications, laws, and regulations affecting projects.
