I didn't find "The School". "The School" found me. Better say that because I was in a moment when I knew I need a change in my next step career after other many changes and trials along the way.

I am Daniela, an emotional person but at the same time realistic, taking the final decisions sometimes with the heart but sometimes with the head.

I am an expert in Supply Management, and I enjoyed my job a lot in the last 16 year, as every day was coming with a new challenge and no day was like the other day.

I am the person who enjoys the journey more than the destination. I love to learn, to develop myself in any area, to be today smarter or wiser than yesterday. I believe the world is an Ocean of knowledge and I would like to access a new piece of it every day.

I’ve always been very much into art, painting and pottery, especially.
Lately I decided to be more open to new opportunities and to perhaps face a fear of failure by jumping into something that truly excites me.

At work, I help my clients get to insights and hypotheses, as a Data Analyst. That’s how I discovered UX,
as we were noticing how usually poor performance indicated poor UX.
Now I want to learn more so I can provide them with well informed action plans and I also want to contribute to inclusivity in design.

Designers, meet Laura.

“I like the colour red, stand-up comedy and burgers 😁I know. 3 random facts about me, but wanting to learn more about UX design is not that random.

Actually, it is something that I have wanted to do for a while now. For me, it all started with wanting to learn a thing or two about graphic design, that would help me in my work as a marketing professional. And then I stumbled upon some really interesting concepts like UX design and design thinking and I found out that design is not about making things look cool.

But learning on your own can sometimes be tricky and challenging and that is why I turn to you, the School of Design, to help me in my journey.
Having mentors to guide me and be there for me when the road gets bumpy and a team with people who share the same interest in UX design as I do is just the cherry on top.

The School of Design will be a great challenge to learn new things and new skills that will help me both in my career and in my life. And what I am most excited about is learning a new approach to solving problems and coming up with creative solutions and applying everything in real life.”

Meet Anca, ENFP, from Bucharest!

“This year I made the decision to make the full transition from architect to UX/Ui designer.

Undoubtedly, architecture will forever live in my heart and help me along the way, but in UX I feel that I truly belong as a designer.

At this moment I have a great need for structured and guided learning but also, as important, I seek teamwork practice. For a few years now I’ve had different side projects where I was the solo designer and I can’t wait for this to change. Working together with other people motivates me greatly.

I look forward to this new experience. I can already say that I am really impressed and very curious about what’s to come.”
