Trust is not “soft.” It is the invisible infrastructure of high-performing organizations.

A 2024 IRES study found that only 1 in 10 Romanians trust politicians.

It is easy to see this purely as a political issue. But we believe it points to something deeper: a broader challenge of trust — one that also plays out in business.

Trust between employees and employers.
Between leaders and their teams.
Between shareholders and management.
Between clients and advisors.
Between business partners.

When trust declines, organizations naturally build protection mechanisms: more control, more approvals, more procedures, more contracts — and often, less ownership.

The cost may not appear as a separate line in the P&L, but it shows up elsewhere: in slower decisions, weaker collaboration, lower retention of great people, less willingness to speak the truth, and ultimately, a reduced ability to transform.

At XTALENT, more than two decades of local and international executive search and leadership experience have reinforced a simple belief:

Connecting Entrepreneurial Leaders with Public-Listed Energy Companies.

Leadership transitions are defining moments in the evolution of high-growth companies. Scaling organizations require leaders who combine operational depth with entrepreneurial ex*****on.

Xtalent is pleased to announce the successful placement of Petre Stoian as CEO of SIMTEL (BVB: SMTL), an engineering and technology company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and one of Romania’s leading players in the renewable energy sector.

Petre brings 18+ years of experience in the energy sector, with leadership roles at Enel Group, Delgaz and Electrocons Group, where he built strong expertise in power infrastructure, grid operations and large-scale energy projects.

In his new role, Petre will drive the consolidation and further development of SIMTEL’s EPC activity, strengthening its position as a benchmark of engineering excellence while building an organization focused on performance, innovation, and technology.
