General objective: Enhance the institutional capacity of ICDEAPA and its partners for applied research aiming to capitalize on the cross-border potential o

f aquatic resources in a sustainable manner in the Lower Meadow Prut area. Specific objective 1: Conducting research activities aiming to analyze the aquatic resources potential in the Lower Meadow Prut area and identifying the best solutions for sustainable management of the resources. Specific objective 2: Evaluating the socio-economic potential of Galati-Cahul border region and assessing the needs of the local population regarding the economic activities and sustainable use of aquatic resources in protected areas. Specific objective 3: Research for innovative solutions to develop the “green economy” as a prerequisite for sustainable economic development in the Lower Meadow of Prut River.
