Appel à la Soumission des Articles

📢📢YENA (Youth Empowerment for Non-Violent Action), à travers sa Newsletter YETU, invite les Fellows de YENA de la Région des Grands Lacs ainsi que d'autres jeunes acteurs du changement à travers l'Afrique à soumettre des propositions d'articles pour publication dans le Magazine .

📝📌Lancée en octobre 2025, la Newsletter YETU est la publication en ligne de YENA. Elle publie chaque lundi sur LinkedIn des articles portant notamment sur la consolidation de la paix, les questions environnementales, les affaires humanitaires et d'autres thématiques touchant la jeunesse. Sa mission est d'amplifier la voix des jeunes en leur offrant une plateforme pour partager leurs perspectives et proposer des solutions aux défis de longue date auxquels leurs communautés sont confrontées.

📘Dans le cadre de cette mission, le Magazine YETU présentera une sélection d'articles ainsi que les principales discussions du Camp des Jeunes, prévu au Rwanda du 30 septembre au 10 octobre 2026. Ce magazine, conçu comme un guide de référence, sera examiné et approuvé par la Protestant University of Rwanda et avant sa publication. Les auteurs des meilleurs articles seront également invités à intervenir comme panélistes et à présenter leurs travaux durant le camp.

📢📢 Call for Article Submission

YENA (Youth Empowerment for Non-Violent Action), through its YETU Newsletter, invites YENA Fellows from the Great Lakes Region and other young changemakers across Africa to submit article proposals for publication in the YETU Magazine.

📝Launched in October 2025, YETU Newsletter is YENA's online publication, releasing stories every Monday on LinkedIn on topics including peacebuilding, environmental issues, humanitarian affairs, and other issues affecting young people. Its mission is to amplify youth voices by providing a platform for young people from the Great Lakes Region and beyond to share their perspectives and propose solutions to longstanding challenges.

📌As part of this mission, YETU Magazine will showcase selected articles alongside discussions from the Youth Camp to be held in Rwanda from September 30 to October 10, 2026.

📘The magazine, a comprehensive handbook, will be reviewed and approved by the Protestant University of Rwanda and CRASPD before publication. Authors of the best articles will also be invited to serve as panelists and present their work during the camp.

Burundi’s YENA Fellows Trained in Trauma Healing, Strengthening Peacebuilding Efforts in the Great Lakes Region

More than 10 fellows from Youth Empowerment for Non-Violent Action (YENA) participated in a trauma healing training in Burundi's economic capital, Bujumbura, enhancing their capacity to contribute to peacebuilding efforts across the Great Lakes Region.

The training, held from July 21 to 23, 2026, was organized by the local organization Innovations in Peacemaking Burundi using the Healing and Rebuilding Our Communities (HROC) approach to equip participants, particularly young people, with practical skills and effective techniques to help individuals recover from emotional trauma.
