An Alarming Threat 🚨

The cyber operation known as VECT 2.0 is raising serious alarms because it blurs the line between ransomware and outright destruction.

Unlike traditional ransomware that encrypts data for payment and possible recovery, VECT 2.0 appears to have a fundamental flaw in its encryption mechanism across Windows, Linux, and ESXi environments.

What makes it dangerous:

Irreversible Encryption: Due to poor or broken cryptographic implementation, files are effectively corrupted rather than securely encrypted. Even the attackers themselves can’t decrypt the data.
