And there's the problem, folks!

This picture illustrates so well how hard it is for the great choices, the good plans and the breakthrough products and solutions to prevail.

I'm currently 3/4 of the way into an exciting product development in a field of technology that is far from 'rocket science' but has been stagnant and screaming for improvement for decades. The technology is available, the market is present and growing - yet no one has (yet) moved on the opportunity.

And why? Because no one has any incentive to do so. Until someone else does of course. Then the race is on again.

And all the lemmings run in a new direction, again...
