Networking can feel daunting for introverts, but it is possible to connect with others in a way that aligns with personal energy levels while still achieving results.
Here are 3️⃣ strategies to consider:
⏱️ Pace Yourself
For those who find social interactions exhausting, it’s important to adjust the frequency of networking activities. Instead of aiming for multiple connections each week, consider starting with one new conversation per week—or even one per month.
💻 Leverage Online Networking
Online networking offers a flexible alternative to in-person interactions. It allows individuals to engage with others without the pressure of live meetings or extended face-to-face conversations.
Examples of effective online networking include participating in LinkedIn discussions, sending direct messages or emails, and attending virtual workshops where active engagement can be kept to a minimum.
👥 Opt for Shorter Meetings
Building meaningful connections often requires one-on-one interactions, but these meetings don’t need to be long. Instead of committing to traditional 30- to 60-minute sessions, aim for shorter meetings of 15 to 20 minutes.
