Investing in and trying to develop small growth companies is both fun and challenging. You become, among other things, a part of the company's successes and failures!

To want and dare to get involved with both money and work effort in a company requires, that W&P:
1) Believes in the company's future but most importantly....
2) That the entrepreneurs who started and runs the company believes in the company, has high ambitions and are competent enough to develop and expand the company in a long term perspective! But at the same time are humble with relationships and how the market works!

A visit to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art outside Helsingør Denmark, two weeks ago...🕐

It's very interesting and has visitors from all over the world. In fine summer weather is it difficult to beat! ☀️🕊🙂

This Museum is obviously a good business idea...🫴

Denna helg var väldigt kul!
Vännerna från Brasilien, Roberto (fd. VD för Result i Brasilien 2006-2009), och hans flickvän Fabiane, var här och hälsade på hela helgen....
Det var många år sedan vi sågs Men när vi nu träffades igen var det precis som vanligt. Intressant att det är så när man är när vänner sen lång tid tillbaka! 🫶🙏
Det är tacksamt att få visa Brazilianarna det som vi svenskar tar för givet med de tycker är helt unikt, häftigt och fint! Dvs Stockholms Skärgård, Vasaborgen, Uppsala Domkyrka och några bra Stockholmsrestauranger, osv...🥂👌Dessutom började vi förstås också snacka affärsmöjligheter igen! Typiskt oss två att blanda privatlivet och business! Men vi gillar att ha det så...🙂 ☀️

This weekend was it a lot of fun! The friends from Brazil, Roberto (former CEO of Result Brazil 2006-2009) and his girlfriend Fabiane, were here for a visit all weekend....
It's been long time since we saw each other! But when we now see each other again it was like everything was as usual. Interesting that it's like that when you're been close friends since a long time! 🫶🙏😊
It is grateful to be able to show the Brazilians what we Swedes take for granted, but they think it is unique, cool and nice! E.g. Stockholm Archipelago, Vasa Castle, Uppsala Cathedral and some good Stockholm restaurants....., etc 🥂👌
In addition, ofcourse we also started talking about business opportunities again! Typically the two of us to mix private life and business! But we like it that way....🙂☀️

In February, as an entrepreneur and business developer with an acquired brain injury, was invited to Alma Folkhögskola and Aphasicenter at Liljeholmen, Stockholm.

The presentation was how to come back from an injury or illness. Becuse I am an example of how you can recover from a severe head and brain injury with additional permanent brain damage. This after my accident/collision in February 2016!

On two occasions, had the privilege of giving a lecture to approx. 70 - 80 Alma students and people with Aphasia and brain injury!

The aim was telling the participants how to learn to speak, write and read again, have goals, dare, be strong, think positively and believe in themselves in order to become mentally stronger. I also
explained how to create a functioning life after an illness, injury or unemployment.

And finally fastest way of comming back was something that always helps you getting better faster... It"s physical exercise and activities! You increase your adrenaline the brain starts to activate faster, your body gets stronger and getting better fitness!

Had the opportunity to speak for and meet all of these participants. And hopefully everyone took advantage of the opportunities presented to them....!

W&P's experience with start-up and expansion companies seeking financing. 🤔🤪
Many companies within Online/IT/Mobile.... They do their own so-called "investment memorandum" which usually lacks the most important things for a potential investor. And in addition to this, the founders and owners very often have their own incorrect valuation of their company.
But they expect brokers to sell in the Company for a small commission..🫠 And this applies to 85-90% of all companies that W&P had a dialogue with since 2001.
😄 A tip for a company that will seek financing is to always have an external neutral actor, that have the relevant financial experience, with them who makes and validates the investment memorandum! 🫡

W&P belive in creativity, to dare, to try, to always motivate the organization and to take risks in order to reach the long-term goals!
The long-term goals for a company (or for a business unit) is to satisfy its owners and have a satisfied organization by the end of the day.
By reaching your goals, you inadvertently, help your surroundings and the society. And it is easy to see the results outside the company (or the business unit) itself.
With this above in mind, a company (or a business unit) must have long-term goals. Not just short-term goals. However, short-term goals are very important for reaching the long-term goals. Because short-term goals is easier to understand when communicate the strategy and get the organization, owners and potential investors on board! They have to understand how and why the company (or a business unit) is running the business forward to reach the long-term goals! Then will the owners and potential investors invest. And the organisation will accept lower salary for a period to get it back later and maybe even get the opportunity for some options or shares in the company.

🏢🌄🌍🌠 Wiksell & Partners has over the years, worked with many small companies. Unfortunately, several of these companies have difficult problems due to the inability of founders and management to lead and control the company in the phases when the company also need to get financing. But the positive thing is that it is possible to do everything right in a company! And if you do it right, all problems are often solved... 🦧
Especially when you have a long-term and functioning future plan, i.e. a long-term strategy for the company! But of course you have to communicate it to the most important target groups that the company has! ☝
You must include employees, possible investors, existing partners and your clearly selected sales-market in your plan and strategy! Actually easy once you know.
