⨠Exciting News! āØ
Iām incredibly honored to be featured in Berita Harian in a special report titled, "The Green Movement Gaining Momentum in the Community." This feature also highlighted the sustainability efforts of Masjid Al Mawaddah, Ms. Nur Hafizah Ghazali, and Ms. Nik Suzila from Kloth Circularity | Malaysia | Singaporeāinspiring individuals driving change!
During my interview, I shared some key insights on the pressing need for a more sustainable approach to clutter management in Singapore:
š¹ Hidden Resources in Our Homes ā Many Singaporean households have storerooms filled with unused items that have been sitting idly for over a year. Items like gifts and small appliances could benefit someone in need, reducing unnecessary purchases and waste. Imagine the nationwide savings we could achieve with a structured redistribution system!
š¹ The Need for Accountability ā Many people dispose of items irresponsibly because of little or no enforcement. Introducing fees for unsorted waste disposal could encourage more responsible behavior by eliminating the "easy way out" excuse.
š¹ Expanding the Declutter.sg Beneficiary Network ā We are constantly growing our network to ensure that pre-loved, quality items find new homes instead of ending up in the bin. A huge thank you to Mr. Siraj Salman from JAMIYAH SINGAPORE (MUSLIM MISSIONARY SOCIETY SINGAPORE) for being part of this meaningful initiative.
š¹ Prevent over-hoarding by setting aside an annual Declutter Day to declutter our homes and cultivating the habit of mindful and moderate purchasing. With e-commerce platforms constantly ramping up their marketing efforts, impulse buying is inevitableābut we can take control by being intentional about what we bring into our homes.
At Declutter.sg, we believe decluttering isnāt just about tidying upāitās about creating a stress-free, organized, and sustainable lifestyle. Our doorstep clutter removal services make it easy for anyone to clear their space while ensuring their unwanted items are donated or recycled responsibly.
A big thank you to Ms. Dahlia Zulkifli and Berita Harian Singapura for sharing our journey, and to all our customers who trust us to bring order and sustainability into their homes!
