My name is Benson Kong, a supply chain leader who have been heading regional (APAC) and cross functional teams during my professional career. As a trained ISO 9001 lead auditor, I have set up and maintain ISO 9001 certifications for multiple locations. My duties were expanded over time to take on leadership in HACCP as we have several clients with FDA products. Over time, security management, pest
management, procurement and training were added to my portfolio. With my IT team, we have implemented modules in safety/insurance, productivity for an in-house ERP system (MS Dynamics NAV). In line with systems involvement, I have successfully developed a fleet management solution for Daimler’s leasing subsidiary in Singapore. With the HR team, we have successfully integrated our audit system with our processes to establish an objective appraisal and training plan for all staff. I am part of the Digital Transformation team to design and implement new systems (container depot, trucking, fleet management, warehousing), launched new innovations. I have also provided consultancy services for bonded warehousing solutions, security solutions and call centre management. I was the company lead managing Crisis Management, Business Continuity Plan in lieu of the Covid19 situation for 300 staff, over 7 locations in Singapore. For my free time, I have also volunteered for career coaching for local schools, yellow ribbon (inmate life coach) and also a social enterprise in sustainability.
