Thank you for liking this page. I set up SNAG and first started reaching out to singles in the hope of connecting them with like minded individuals to seed the sows of friendship and hopefully that can blossom to something deeper. The crux of the problem is not having the right connections or network so that one can meet their right match. There are many dating agencies out there with a similar mission of helping singles but our systemic structures might not be wide enough to reach out and help singles with niche needs. They could be from a certain ethnic minority group seeking a partner from the same community, mature singles looking for a second chance in marriage, singles with a unique lifestyle or worklife that does not give them time to take a chance at random dates, etc. There is also a gender imbalance which we hope to correct by connecting up and having a well balanced gender mix in this community.
Ever heard of the concept of 6 degrees of separation? It is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. As a result, a chain of "friend of a friend" statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. That means you could be 6 or fewer steps away from your soul mate. In my own personal life, if not for a random connection of 2 young kids in a playschool and their mothers, I would not have met my life partner. The power of connection and networking is not overstated.
