16 May 2020 - Goodbye for now. I will see u soon.

We worked together.
We had meals together.
We went to the supermarket together.
We watched Netflix together.
We had endless late night chats together.
Till it became a new norm for us.

That fateful day, when they wheeled you into the room, my eyes caught a glimpse of your tattooed arm. My heart sank, reality hit me hard with tears streaming down my eyes. I had to accept the new reality. You are gone, forever gone.

This is the most painful experience in my line of work as an embalmer. I didnt see this day coming, at least not too soon. I wiped my tears, squeezed your hand tight and made a promise to make you look handsome for your final journey. With every stroke of the brush, I was determined to place that last smile on you. I just want you to be happy, wherever you are.

When I shared with you about my first few encounters seeing co**se, I told you that I was scared. You told me that you saw angels and that they have me covered. Fast forward one and a half year later, as I thrive in my embalming career. I hope that you will be that angel that will continue to watch over me.

我会记得我们一起说过的梦想. I will continue to be your positive Energizer Bunny and work towards being the best in whatever I do.
