On April 4, Easter Sunday, torrential downpour across the Indonesian archipelago sparked massive flash floods and landslides in Timor-Leste.

In the wake of this tropical disaster hundreds of people have died, thousands of families have been displaced and healthcare centers like HIAM Health devastated.

HIAM Health is a malnutrition rehabilitation centre. They provide food for malnourished children and educate families on nutrition, hygiene and growing their own gardens for sustainable long-term health.

Overnight, 17 years of hard work and sacrifice, along with over USD$250,000 worth of transportation and equipment were completely wiped out and destroyed.

Co-founder of HIAM Health, Jill Hillary, has set up a fundraising page with more information and current updates on the situation on the ground.

It’s that time of the year again, but this time, it’s not so wonderful for everyone. For most of us here, we’ve been fortunate to be in the Lion City throughout this crisis. But for many others around the world, life has never been more difficult.

Over 80% of Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School's 1850 graduates have lost their jobs. Along with them, their families are now also facing one of the biggest challenges of their lives.

To support these young Cambodians, TCRP Catalyst, Sam McGoun of Touch Sala Bai has committed to running and biking 1850 kms—one kilometre in honour of each of Sala Bai's 1850 graduates and the 10,000+ family members that rely on them.

His goal? To simply inspire family and friends to join him in supporting Sala Bai’s students, alumni and their families through this crisis that they are facing.

His journey began on Thursday, December 17 and ends on Sunday, January 3 in Singapore. An Emergency Relief Fund has been created to help the students and graduates and their families through this pandemic. To donate, click here:

As part of the Collective of Migrant Efforts (COME), our friends at Sama Sama are helping raise funds to support our migrant brothers through this difficult time.

Through the initiative, alongside other NGOs, government agencies and individuals - they hope to raise $800,000 to help 20,000 migrant workers in need.

A small donation of just $40 goes a long way - lets show our migrant brothers that Singapore is indeed

As you might have heard, the number of COVID-19 cases among our migrant workers have risen past 2000 as of 16th April 2020. While we look forward to a warm, comforting meal during the Circuit Breaker as we stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19, dormitory kitchens have started closing in order to....

A secular, non-affiliated charity, Willing Hearts is wholly run by volunteers, apart from a handful of staff. It operates a soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes about 5,000 daily meals to over 40 locations island wide, 365 days a year. Beneficiaries include the elderly, the disabled, low income families, children from single parent families or otherwise poverty stricken families, and migrant workers in Singapore.

Groups that help feed families in need have seen most volunteers drop out. And they worry about the impact of panic-buying on the flow of food ...
