🚨 New Work Visa for AI & Tech Leaders Coming to Singapore

Singapore is doubling down on its ambition to become a global AI and tech hub.

Starting January 2027, the government will introduce a new AI & Tech talent pathway under the Overseas Networks & Expertise (ONE) Pass to attract top global innovators and industry leaders.

🔑 Key highlights:
• Minimum S$30,000 monthly salary (including equity or stock options)
• At least 5 years of experience as a founder, C-suite leader, or senior technical expert
• 5-year renewable visa with flexibility to work for multiple companies or start a business in Singapore
• Will replace the current Tech.Pass

This move signals Singapore’s continued push to attract world-class AI founders, researchers, and tech executives.

For the first time, Singapore’s total population has exceeded 6 million.

Of the 6.04 million, there were 4.18 million residents and about 1.86 million non-residents, which comprise the foreign workforce, migrant domestic workers, dependants and international students.

This is the first time the country’s population has exceeded six million.

Undertaker fined S$12,000, ordered to pay penalty of S$529,321 for making incorrect tax income returns and failing to register his business for the goods and services tax. He was undercharged a total of S$250,312.49 in income taxes for three assessment periods.

Separately, Tay also failed to register for GST when the total value of the taxable supplies of three of his businesses exceeded S$1 million for four consecutive quarters.

In default paying the fines and penalties, he faces jail time of 12 weeks if he fails to pay the fine, and 32 months if he does not pay the penalty.

📌𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?
1) GST registration is compulsory if your turnover is more than S$1 million at the end of the calendar year.
2) Your company must retain its record for at least 5 years.

MOM just released the new salary criteria for 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙨 (𝙀𝙋) starting 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.
‼️ Did you know that there are 2 salary criteria to meet for the EP criteria? The 1st one is the 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚, and the 2nd one is the 𝘾1: 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙣𝙩 under the COMPASS framework. 🧐
