Thrilled to have completed another inaugural Women Sponsorship Program with Standard Chartered Bank. An intensive 52-week program packed with assignments, peer-to-peer support groups and coaching!

While sponsorship is not a magic bullet, it’s a proven method and essential to help women gain advocacy, better visibility, expand their networks and advance their careers.

In summary, it’s not about fixing women.
It’s how we equip them with the tools to navigate the unconscious biases they may face at the workplace.
We know this works, and the data backs it.

The result?

An increase in representation of women at the leadership level in less than 12 months.

🏆 75% of participants ready for their next promotion
🏆 100% agree that the program has positively impacted their careers
🏆 100% program satisfaction

Thank you, Standard Chartered, for the partnership and support to strengthen women's voices and foster the next generation of leaders.

Defining Diversity and Inclusion
We are excited to kick off a D&I video series starring our very own Kilian!

She sits down with Canelas to discuss everything D&I. Over the series she will unpack the business case for D&I, the important role leaders can play, how unconscious bias impacts your hiring decisions, and how you can build psychological safety in your teams.

To kick this off, we start with a simple but very clear definition of what Diversity and Inclusion are, and the difference between the two.

Whether you're new to D&I or looking to deepen your understanding, these videos are a must-watch.

Enjoy and let us know your comments below.

Let's start the conversation and spread awareness about the power of diversity and inclusion.

3 ways you can start conversations around this year's International Women’s Day theme .
I get it.

Proactively having conversations and navigating gender biases at the workplace can be uncomfortable to some.

Even more so in culturally sensitive countries like in Asia.

But that does not mean that we should not say anything.

Here are 3 easy steps that we found helpful in having a constructive conversation:

👩🏻 Let the data speak for itself.

Share facts and data about gender inequality in the workplace.

👩🏽 Encourage conversations.

Provide examples to raise awareness of inequities women face and encourage conversations about how one can be an Ally to women

👩🏼 Acknowledge that we all want to move in the same direction.

We all want to be on the same team. To be part of a world that is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.

A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

Share practical tips on how we can all play our part in addressing these biases that women face in a safe, non-confrontational way.

➡️ What other tips would you add?
