For Singapore retail industry to remain comptetitve, it needed to be more productive and efficient. Singtel and Microsoft decided to leverage that opportunity, and arrange IoT Hackathon.
The goal was to drive innovation within retail industry using IoT devices. However, they encountered a need for facilitation and HackIt was just the perfect answer for it!๐
So, what exactly is HackIT and how it is different from other regular hackathones? ๐ค
๐ฅThe main difference is in the process before the actual hackathone, which is a deep dive into the problem structure that the client is trying to solve.
๐ฅThen, this problem is presented to the startup participants, that need to come up with a solid, efficient and tangible solution.
๐ฅIn the meantime the CreITive team is helping them with design thinking, prototypes, technical expertise and their final pitch so that they have the best chances to win.
๐ฅOnce the winner is chosen, the company has to ensure to follow through with the collaboration with the winning startup on their solution, and thatโs why HackIT is not just another hackathon made for PR and promotional purposes. ๐
