We spent months perfecting our PDF guides, only to realise prospects weren’t even opening them.
After 100+ coaching calls, I finally admitted something hard.
Our PDF lead magnets were not working.
Prospects would download them.
Then… nothing.
No reply. No DM. No conversion.
I kept telling myself, “Maybe the content isn’t good enough.”
But the truth was different.
It wasn’t the content.
It was the format.
A PDF is passive. It can’t ask questions. It can’t respond. It just sits there.
Here’s what I realised.
Prospects don’t want more information.
They want to feel seen and solve ONE specific problem.
So instead of giving them a 20-page guide covering everything, I started building simple interactive tools, like a custom GPT, that speaks directly to a Singapore tutor’s exact struggle.
Not a general guide.
A tool that says, “I understand your problem. Here’s your next step.”
And it can even recommend you as the solution.
That shift changed how I look at lead generation completely.
The interesting part? You don’t need to be a techie to do this.
You just need to know your prospect’s one biggest pain point.
Solve that one thing.
Serve them through it.
Let the tool do the talking for you.
