Understanding the patterns that keep love complicated
Lecture 16 · Live on TikTok · 9th Oct
10 PM (SGT)
Your may register with the link given on the TikTok video.

Love is beautiful and bewildering.
We crave connection yet find ourselves repeating the same painful cycles.
Why do people who care for each other still end up hurting each other?
Why does love, which should feel safe, so often feel like walking on glass?

I will be that blending poetry, psychology, and healing tonight so that you can deepen your understanding why love gets complicated and how you can begin to heal it.

Expect insights from
Rumi, Kahlil Gibran and Hopkins (the poets of the heart)
David Richo on the Five A’s of mature love
John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth on attachment
Eric Berne on the Parent Adult Child patterns we replay in every argument

💬 “Every argument is two childhoods colliding.”
💬 “Love shouldn’t require you to disappear.”

If you have ever loved too much, lost yourself trying to be enough, or wondered what healthy love should actually feel like, this session will give you language, perspective, and a little peace.

🌄 The Hero’s Journey: Why Your Pain Has a Purpose

Ever felt like life threw you into chaos for no reason, like everything you built suddenly fell apart?
What if that collapse was not punishment but initiation?

Every storm, heartbreak, and failure you have faced was shaping something within you. You were not breaking down. You were being called up.

In this live session, we will walk together through The Hero’s Journey, not as mythology but as your personal map for transformation. You will see how the struggles you have survived were never random. They were invitations to rise.

Here is what we will explore together:
✨ The Call to Adventure — how life whispers and sometimes screams for you to grow
✨ Crossing the Threshold — the fear and courage that come with change
✨ The Road of Trials — why challenges are your greatest teachers
✨ The Abyss — facing the darkness before your breakthrough
✨ The Return — turning your pain into purpose

Before we begin, take these words, drawn from the spirit of ancient myth:

“Once, Icarus dreamed of flight.
The world warned him, the sky burned him,
yet for one blazing moment he touched the sun.
The fall was never failure —
it was the price of knowing he could rise.”

Your story carries the same fire.
You may have fallen, but you have also flown.
Your courage to rise again is proof that the journey is still unfolding.

Come walk with me.
Let us make sense of the chaos, find meaning in the wounds, and step into your own hero’s path, one brave breath at a time.

🌫 Insecurities
Lecture 14 : 7th Oct 2025
10pm onwards (Singapoe time)

You don’t have to keep pretending you’re fine.
There are days you wake up already tired

not from work, but from the weight of trying to be someone who finally feels enough.

You scroll through your phone and wonder why everyone else seems happier, calmer, more complete. You show up, smile, perform… and then go home feeling hollow.

You doubt yourself even when you’ve done everything right. You replay conversations, analysing every word.
You feel anxious when people go quiet, worried you’ve said something wrong. You overgive in relationships just to feel wanted.
And when someone praises you, you can’t even believe it.

I get it. Because I’ve been there too. That quiet ache of not enough can shape every part of your life
how you love,
how you work,
how you see yourself in the mirror.

But here’s the truth. Insecurity isn’t proof that you’re broken. It’s proof that you’re human, still carrying old fears that were never meant to stay this long.
Tonight, I want to invite you to sit with me
not to fix yourself, but to finally understand what your insecurities have been trying to say.

✨ Here’s what we’ll explore together:
Why insecurities form and why they linger no matter how hard you try to change
How to recognize the subtle ways they sabotage your peace, your confidence, your relationships
Practical ways to start feeling safe in your own skin again
You’ve spent too many years proving you’re worthy.
Now it’s time to simply be.

🕯 Join me live at 10PM (SGT) for Insecurities: Healing the Fear of Not Being Enough.

This isn’t a lecture. It’s a conversation between friends who are learning to be whole again.

🕊 Tonight’s TikTok Live: Forgiveness – An Ancient Path to Freedom 🕊
2nd Oct 2025

I want to invite you to join me tonight. Forgiveness is not about excusing what happened. It is about setting yourself free.

Maybe you have been betrayed by someone you trusted.
Maybe you carry regret for mistakes you made.
Maybe you are still angry over unfair treatment or words that cut deep.
Or maybe you are struggling to forgive yourself.

I know how heavy that can feel. And I know it is possible to live lighter.

Tonight at 10PM Singapore Time, I will share with you:
✨ Why we get stuck in the past
✨ How to let go of resentment safely
✨ How to set boundaries while still healing
✨ Ancient wisdom and simple steps to help you find peace

💬 Come sit with me. You do not have to carry this alone. Let’s talk about it together.

Hello, my name is Ramesh Muthusamy. My primary 2 class teacher wrote these words in my report card “Good pupil who has a lot of potential” that word “Potential” has stuck since. Is potential a fixed thing or does it expand once you reach your potential at any given moment ? The word potential is exciting because it carries within it vibrant hope waiting to be ignited. I am excited to see you tap more into your potential and see where it takes you. When I am fully exhausted, I want to know that I really did try to maximise my potential over and over again. An elusive playmate who was always three steps ahead of usb

Leaders, here’s the hard truth:
If you’re only looking for what’s broken, you’ll miss what’s becoming brilliant.

TOO MANY leaders are wired to scan for flaws. 👀
We walk into meetings spotting gaps.
We zero in on missed targets, overlooked details, and underperformance.
And over time, we train ourselves to lead from a place of lack.

But leadership isn’t just about fixing problems.
It’s about what you choose to notice.
Because what you pay attention to—grows.

Today, I went for an evening walk with my son.
I brought my camera, not with a big plan, but with a simple intention to notice.
Not to control the moment, but to appreciate it.

And in that quiet time, I remembered what so many of us forget:
There’s beauty in progress. In effort. In the everyday.
But you’ll only see it if you slow down long enough to look.

In Singapore, we have the freedom to choose our perspective.
And I’ve seen people who’ve risen above very real challenges—because they chose to focus on hope.
That same choice is available to every leader, every day.

Here are 3 reflections I walked away with:

✅ Stop scanning for flaws
Look for what’s quietly working and build from there.

✅ See people, not just problems
Growth often starts where recognition begins.

✅ Your focus sets the tone
The culture follows what the leader consistently sees.

These photos are a glimpse of what I saw that evening.

What might you notice if you paused just long enough to truly look?

Is Singapore a beauty filled island?
Yes. And more than that, there is hope for a better life here in my perspective.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference. This has stayed with me over 3 decades. Wisdom is knowing the difference.

Have you ever felt like you are being pummelled in the face repeatedly. To be bloodied and broken. Mind,
Body and spirit. Chaos so uncontrolled that it left your questioning everything. Relationships, your work, your past all the while trying to see thru the fog to figure out where you are heading ?

If you are at this point, I have 3 Questions I would like you to ask yourself.
What must I accept?
What can I change?
Where will I find the wisdom to know?

How can you re-centre yourself
      1.    Sit with silence. In prayer.
      2.    breathe out twice as long as your inhale.
      3.    know that not all burdens are for you to bear.

Pause. Breathe. Begin again.

Here’s your Instagram-ready version, under 2,200 characters (including spaces), while keeping the heart and punch of your message:

Career coaches can ruin lives when they…
🪦 Judge clients
🧟 Force their views
😑 Ignore emotional pain

Professionals who’ve lost their jobs don’t come to coaching for “tips.” They’ve got ChatGPT and YouTube for that.

They come with grief.
They’ve lost more than a job—some have lost identity, status, confidence… even dignity.
The shame of job loss.
The anxiety of “What now?”
The sting of rejection after rejection.

In an A.I.-obsessed world, let’s not forget the heartbeat of coaching: Empathy.

3 Types of Empathy:
🧠 Cognitive – Understanding their thoughts
❤️ Emotional – Feeling what they feel
🤝 Compassionate – Doing something to help

But coaching today is often…
❌ Templates
❌ Prompt lists
❌ “Move on” advice
❌ Unproven gurus selling hope

You can’t fix a broken spirit with a brochure.

What we need?
Leaders. Coaches. Real humans who see the pain and hold space for healing.

Because when someone sits across from you, they might be:
• Reeling from a layoff
• Questioning their worth
• Wondering if they’re still “relevant”
• Struggling just to say, “I need help”

To Coaches & Leaders:
✅ Hold space for the emotions
✅ Listen, even when it’s messy
✅ Reflect their strengths before suggesting next steps
✅ Guide, don’t push

And to those still struggling to find your place…
If a coach made you feel like a “broken resume”…
Please don’t give up.
The right support feels different.

To the coaches who lead with heart—you’re helping people find hope again.

Thank you.
