Know your Vinyl
Recently I received many inquiries about my Vinyl Tiles. Many questions were asked regarding the thickness of the tiles. Is it 3mm, 5mm, 6mm? I think in term of tiles quality, we should be asking what is the wear layer. The wear layer serve as a protective layer over the tiles and the environment. The thicker the wear layer determine the lifespan and durability of the flooring. So do you want a 4mm thick with 0.5mm wear layer or 6mm with 0.3mm wear layer. Think about it......

Vinyl Flooring Maintenance tips
One of the best cleansers for vinyl flooring is apple cider vinegar. The acidity in the vinegar helps remove dirt and grime without leaving a buildup of soap or wax. Simply mix one cup of cider vinegar with a gallon of hot water and use a damp mop to clean, rinsing the mop frequently with hot water.
We recommend Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar which is easily accessible in Singapore, unfiltered, unheated, unpasteurized and 5% acidity. Contains the amazing Mother of Vinegar which occurs naturally as strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules.

Do you know what is the most important layer of the Vinyl tiles? 1. The interlocking system, PVC material, Decorative paper or the wear layer?
Yes! It is the wear layer! The wear layer is the top layer of the Vinyl tile. Like the name itself, it's used to withstand the wear and abrasion from the traffic. In short, the thickness of the wear layer will determine the durability.
In general, the wear layer comes in 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm. For residential usage, 0.3mm and 0.5mm is sufficient and can last for 15-20 years.
Mori® REVF® only carries the 0.5mm wear layer with nano silver coating (anti bacteria and anti fungus) as we believe our customer deserve the best and we do not want to shortchange them.
