Zulkifli Daud Photography All about fə-ˈtä-grə-fē I had to learn the basic techniques the hard and painful way, trial and error and from books that I can get my hands on.

During my school days, I was part of the photography club,back then I couldn't afford an SLR and it was only a point and shoot camera on film. 1994 marked my first image that I captured on an SLR, my 2nd born child. From that day on, photography has been a part of me and the passion has motivated me to excel in this field, thanks to the ever evolving technologies. The digital era was just born at

that time and the technology was not as advance as what it is today so it was all film for me when I started. From 35mm to Medium format and now digital and yes, I almost did not took to the plunge in to digital format, resisting it for many years as I still believed in film which produces the best images. Since digital is the main stream now, ditching it would be a loss as it is the industry standard now. Fortunately digital has improved tremendously and I have never looked back although I still keep my film SLR camera. From simple family portraiture to weddings then to corporate events and graduations, I ventured into feline portraiture, to be exact, cats, yes I meant that domestic cats that we keep as pets. But these aren’t ordinary cats, they are ‘show cats’ which owners spent thousand of dollars to upkeep them. It was a total different experience when I first shoot them when I was asked to do for a friend. Unlike our human counterparts where we tell them how to pose, cats are different, we cant tell them how to pose! The results are magnificent, I should say, since they are after all the beauty pageant from a cat's perspective. This is where I get to travel regionally to capture this beautiful and elegant god's creation.
