Avente Consulting is back, kicking off our second semester's curriculum with a recap lesson conducted by our very own EXCO members.

We also had the pleasure of hosting a fireside chat comprising of a panel hailing from various management consulting firms! It was a fruitful networking session, especially when we were able to conduct an in-person session, creating a conducive environment for optimal participation and learning!

We hope you are as excited as us for the next lesson where we will be diving into the specific elements that consulting entails 😄

Avente Consulting is proud to present to you our third executive committee! As an exco, we aim to share the power of digitalization for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the student body. We have a diverse mix of Year 1 to 4s where we are comprised of three main teams - Marcomms, Operations, and Strat-Acad. As a single organism, we work closely to ensure that our objectives are executed seamlessly.

Hi everyone! I am Joel, a first year undergraduate from the School of Economics and one of the handful of Singaporeans who isn't crazy about bubble tea!

Personally, Avente to me is more than just a club. It is platform for me to meet like-minded individuals who are keen to gain greater insight into the exciting world of consulting. Through the curriculum sessions held by professionals in leading industries, I had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the field of data analytics and digital marketing.

As someone who was just starting to venture into the field of consulting, I joined Avente having no expectations. But after my one year with the club, I have left with profound knowledge, new friendships, and an extensive network. My journey with Avente has inarguably broadened by horizons and learning beyond my academics.

Hi I'm Ria, a year 2 business student majoring in Operations Management and Strategy. I joined Avente as I am interested in pursuing consulting as a possible career choice.

Being in Avente gave me the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom in a relaxed environment, and I got to make new friends outside of my faculty through various networking events! I was also able to gain practical skills through learning first-hand from professional consultants that could be directly applied in our weekly sessions as well as our internal case competitions. It is for these reasons that I truly feel that my experience in Avente has been nothing but enriching.

The methods of effective problem solving, communication of proposed solutions to clients, and the ability to apply the skills learned are some of my biggest takeways from my time in Avente. Hi! I'm Dishan and I've just completed my first year of study in the School of Economics. As an outgoing individual, I enjoy forming connections with new people as everyone has a different story to tell. I also enjoy playing sports such as football and cricket!

Avente holds a special place in my heart as it exposed me to the consulting industry and was the first club I joined in SMU. It has given me a safe space to learn and grow through the exchange of ideas and information. The content presented each week was different and exciting, ranging from learning about digital marketing to understanding the techniques of conducting interviews. Since the start of my journey with Avente, I've gained valuable insight into the concept of digitalisation in the 21st Century and understood the inner workings of what it takes to be a management consultant.

Over the course of the curriculum, I've gained relevent industry skills and cultivated a diverse, close-knit family that I am proud to call my own. If you want to know more about the club, do speak to them over Vivace and they'll be happy to share more with you!

Hi! I'm Andy and I've just graduated with a major in Marketing Analytics (it can be done in three years). As a freelance web-designer myself, my interest lies in helping SMEs step into the digital space, and that is what Avente and I have in common! Both of us believe that SMEs need help with adopting digital solutions and we want to provide them.

Learning with Avente is never dull because of the community of individuals who share the same passion for learning, and enjoy (healthy) competition. The sessions are insightful and well-designed to hand out nuggets of insights across various industries and practices to the consultants.

Throughout my time with Avente, I've picked up critical problemsolving skills which is transferrable across many industries, but the past part of it all is that I've built a network of passionate individuals who are always there to help.
