As we conclude SAESL's 25th anniversary celebrations, we went beyond the workshop floor to share the stories of the people who make us who we are.

From Hafiz, who has been with us since Day One and has mentored generations of trainee technicians, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in their own right.

To Tao Hin, whose unwavering determination saw him overcome cancer not once, but twice, while continuing to inspire those around him with his passion, dedication and resilience.

And Kin Swee and Cassandra, who found each other again after 12 years apart and began a new chapter together, a reminder that the strongest foundations are built on enduring connections.

Their stories reflect what SAESL stands for. We do not just build engines. We grow together, overcome challenges together and shape the future together.

ITE and Singapore Aero Engine Services Pte Ltd (SAESL), the world’s largest Rolls-Royce Trent engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event to strengthen Singapore’s aerospace talent pipeline.

Under the MOU, SAESL will offer 30 Work-Study Diploma placements in 2027, with scholarships among the talent development initiatives to be introduced over time. Students will benefit from hands-on workplace learning and gain valuable real-world experience in the aerospace MRO sector, developing skills and knowledge for careers in the industry.

The collaboration will also explore curriculum alignment, staff attachments and capability development initiatives to keep training relevant and responsive to evolving industry needs.

What a week at MRO Asia-Pacific 2026.

From industry recognition and strategic partnerships to meaningful conversations with customers, suppliers and industry peers, it was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and shape the future of aerospace MRO together.

A significant milestone for SAESL at MRO Asia-Pacific 2026.

Today, we signed four MoUs with Temasek Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (A*STAR ARTC) to strengthen Singapore's aerospace MRO talent pipeline and accelerate innovation.

Once fully implemented, these initiatives are expected to support a pipeline of up to 200 trainee technicians annually, contributing to our plans to hire more than 1,000 technicians over the next five years.

As SAESL marks its 25th anniversary and the milestone of servicing our 5,000th engine, we remain committed to investing in people, technology and capabilities that will power the future of aerospace MRO.

A fantastic achievement for Team SAESL at the recent AAIS Futsal Tournament held on 12 September 2026! With 17 companies fielding a total of 28 teams, the competition was fierce, but SAESL rose above the challenge to be crowned champions for the second consecutive year.

This year, SAESL proudly fielded two teams, SAESL Stars and SAESL Storm. A big shoutout to SAESL Stars emerging victorious and successfully defended our title! At the same time, SAESL Storm displayed tremendous heart, determination, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament, putting up a valiant effort and representing SAESL with pride.

Adding to the celebrations, Abdul Kadir of SAESL Stars retained his Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the second year running, further cementing his outstanding contribution and influence on the pitch.

Beyond the trophies and individual accolades, the tournament showcased what makes SAESL strong. Our people. As we continue our transformation journey, our employees remain at the core of our business. The teamwork, resilience, camaraderie, and commitment demonstrated by both teams are a true reflection of SAESL's core values in action.

Congratulations to both SAESL Stars and SAESL Storm for flying the SAESL flag high and reminding us that success is built on teamwork, passion, and a shared commitment to excellence.

As part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations, we treated our employees across Calshot, Loyang and Seletar to a well-deserved buffet lunch. In a show of appreciation, SAESL leaders rolled up their sleeves to personally serve our colleagues, sharing smiles, conversations and gratitude along the way.

We were also delighted to celebrate this milestone with our valued partners from Rolls-Royce OST, our contractors, security personnel and facility management team from Frisco. Their unwavering support and partnership have played an important role in SAESL's journey over the past 25 years.

The celebration was a reminder that our greatest strength has always been our people and the extended community that stands alongside us. Their dedication, teamwork and resilience have powered SAESL's growth over the years and continue to drive our transformation into the future.

On 2 September 2026, SAESL proudly celebrated its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of resilience, growth, and excellence.

Graced by the British High Commissioner to Singapore, H.E. Nikesh Mehta, and joined by senior leaders from Rolls-Royce, SIA Engineering Company, Singapore Airlines, Scoot, government agencies, industry partners and strategic suppliers, the evening brought together the many stakeholders who have been part of SAESL's journey over the past quarter century.

Most importantly, we celebrated our employees, including many long-serving colleagues who have dedicated years, and in some cases decades, to building SAESL into the company it is today. Through every challenge and triumph, their commitment, expertise and teamwork have remained at the heart of our success.

Filled with inspiring performances, heartfelt moments and fond memories, the evening was a tribute to the people and partnerships that have shaped our story. As we celebrate 25 years of achievement, we honour the people who brought us here and look forward to shaping the future of aerospace together.
