"Celebrate endings — for they precede new beginnings."

I'm saying goodbye to 2023 in a bittersweet mood. It is not been the easiest of years: I put in a lot of effort workwise, but have not seen the results. 😕

As a woman, I've had to juggle many responsibilities on the home front - and it hasn't been easy. The painful inflation we experienced this year has been a great irritant to me. 😔

And I wonder if our country's leadership is tuned into its citizenry's situation & if it has a clear Vision of improving our lives. It's also painful for me to see the (often violent) injustices against oppressed peoples in many parts of the world, especially Gaza. 💔

And yet, it has been a year full of Growth, Love & Blessings:

- I learnt that I am Stronger than I thought.
- That professionally, I am more Capable than I thought.
- That I am getting better and better at what I do & reaching a wider audience.
- That I am surrounded by the deep Love & Support of my family - especially from my beloved mother and the women in my extended family.
- Most importantly, I learnt that I am able to convert challenges into opportunities for New Beginnings.

& How will your 2024 be? . . . .

2024 for me will be a year of Inspiration & Regeneration; of Creation & Joyful Exploration of this blessed Life we have all been Gifted with. 😇

Above all, it will be always a year filled with Gratitude regardless of my circumstances, powered by quiet Faith that everything will be All Right, Inshallah (God-Willing).

So, Goodbye 2023 👋. Thank you for experiences and lessons you brought me.

And Hello 2024 ☺ I look forward to fresh Beginnings & living You to the fullest.

We had our first Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Board Meeting today in 'coronavirus times' - with in action.

About half of the Board, myself included, opted to join in via Zoom teleconference. It required some adjustments, but the meeting went very well.

We are all really very fortunate to have Technology & the Internet - both practically free - to help us adjust to these unique, challenging times.

It's also a great way to boost Productivity 👍

What are the ways you are adjusting your Work Practices in these ? I'd love to hear from you. 🙂

A message from us, the organisers of ✸ LOOK GOOD FEEL GOOD ✸ Workshop by Fadillah & Harasha✸, to you Beautiful Souls:

Like most of you, we have been closely following the COVID-19 situation here in Singapore even as we prepare to conduct our Workshop later this month.

Here's some advice from our 🇸🇬 Government to note:
▪ Avoid large events (more than 250 people) to minimise risk.
▪ If you're unwell or under Stay-Home Notice & the like, well, please stay home 🙂
▪ Don't travel.
▪ Mask-up only if you're unwell. 😷
▪ Maintain good personal hygiene - especially proper handwashing & cough/sneeze into tissues. 🙌

❗️🌎Given the global extent of this virus, the Government now expects the situation to stretch out for *at least a year* 😲⁉️

In other words, living with the virus will be the New Normal - at least for the foreseeable future. 👩‍🔬🤦‍♀️

Now, what does this mean for us as individuals? 🤔
Stay Anxious & 'Freeze'? 😖
Worry & be 'hypnotised' by all these alarming news reports coming at us 24x7? 😧😱
Feel helpless? 🤷‍♀️

No. That is not sustainable.❌ 👎🙅‍♀️
Instead, we have to keep Life going. 👨‍👩‍👧🧕👍💄
We have to keep our Goals going.👩‍💻 🏆🎯✅
More precisely, we have to Take Precautions, Adapt ourselves & Calmly Keep our Lives and our Goals going. 🔅👌🦸‍♀️🧘‍♀️

This is why, together with our Venue Partner Alfya Atelier, we will take the following measures at our Workshop to help you Stay Safe:
▪ Everyone will be asked to fill up a COVID-19 Health Declaration Form.
▪ Everyone’s temperature will be checked before coming in.
▪ Anyone found to show any symptoms (fever, cough, flu or sore throat) will not be allowed in.
▪ The venue premises will be kept clean & disinfected, as always.
▪ There are prayer facilities for you, but please bring your own prayer mat for added hygiene.
